The first version of the Big Jim Pack Commander came with a dark blue turtle neck, so he has been dubbed the Blue Commander by many collectors.  This figure has the skin tone of the earlier Big Jeff figure.  The left hand, as with all the PACK figures, has a wolf's head tattoo.  This tattoo is easily rubbed of with a little play, so it is a key factor in determination of the condition of loose figures.  The figure's accessories include:  blue sweater with pack logo patch, white 'boot cut' jeans, belt with pack logo buckle, brown engineer boots with paw print soles, wrist communicator, silver pistol, and a shoulder holster.

Here is the Commander Jim's story as printed on the box:  Deep in the Austrian Tyrol, an Olympic ski champion outraced and avalanche!  Bold leadership saved his life and an entire Alpine village.  Plus a timber wolf cub which he carried to safety.  This incident led him to the supreme challenge.  An international crime fighting commission knew they had found their man.  A fearless leader for a tough breed.  Big Jim ... bourn to command, brains behind the P.A.C.K.!   This text is exactly how it appeared on the box.  Mattel should have spent a few bucks on proofreading.  What a mess!
